Afgelopen zomer introduceerde Case IH zijn nieuwe AF9 en AF10 maaidorsers in Europa. In Engeland bezoeken we zo'n demo van deze imposante machine. Ook werd er gras gehakseld en nog meer tarwe geoogst, maar dan met groen en geel.
Alweer een tijd geleden werd, op 2 augustus, de eerste Oogstdag van Stichting Polderpioniers en OTMV Flevoland gehouden. Ook Kees was daarbij, als liefhebber van alles rond de (klassieke) graanoogst. Er was dan ook genoeg te fotograferen voor hem.
Een echte mix van werkzaamheden in deze serie. Met een bijzondere Landini aan het spuiten, een Fendt die met een 6m Horsch Pronto aan het zaaien was en tot slot in de Wieringermeerpolder het strooien van vaste mest.
De volgende serie uit de Baltische staten komt uit Letland en Litouwen. Half augustus was de oogst van tarwe en koolzaad er in volle gang. Met opnieuw een mix van oosterse invloeden, gloednieuw westers materiaal of juist goed gebruikte youngtimers.
Een mix van akkerbouw en veehouderij in deze Engelse fotoserie. Zo werd er GPS gehakseld en ingekuild, maar ging er ook graan door de combine. Ook voor de stoppelbewerking is het tijd en er wordt nog een perceel gras gemaaid. Opvallend is het grote aandeel JCB.
Nog meer uienactie in deze serie uit het noorden. Daarnaast fotografeerde Herman ook het nodige blauw in het land. Er werd gecultiveerd en gezaaid en gras bij elkaar geharkt en opgeraapt. Want, ook de grasoogst gaat door natuurlijk.
This summer, Case IH launched their AF9 and AF10 combine harvesters in Europe. This follows the introduction of their yellow brothers from New Holland, that were introduced last year. These are the biggest combine harvesters offered by Case IH to date and a completely new design. The AF11 is not offered for sale in Europe, as it is a red version of the New Holland CR11, with its twin rotor design. The AF9 and AF10 feature a single rotor, which have been a distinctive feature of the Axial-Flow since International Harvester launched their first machine in 1977. The AF10 displayed in this video uses a 775 HP C16 FPT engine, making it fall in the class 10 category. It has a 20,000L grain tank and single AFXL rotor for threshing and separation. This measures 367 x 76.2 cm. The machine uses a 45ft (13.5M) MacDon draper flex header, although a 51ft version is also available. The AF10 weighs just over 23 tonnes when empty. Case IH and Sharmans Agriculture LTD introduced the new combine at Belvoire Estate in Leicestershire early August 2025. Another current product, the smaller Axial-Flow 7160 Xflow, was also on display.
High capacity straw baling into small square bales with 2 combinations: New Holland TS 115 and Case IH Maxxum 115, both with Massey Ferguson 1840 balers. The bales are then bundled into larger packs using a John Deere 6420S and brand new Arcusin Multipack E14. Two Valtra tractors can be seen loading the packs of bales. The Arcusin is shown first in hay and then straw, when all machines came together in 1 field on a lovely summer evening. The baling equipment and Valtras belong to Dutch company Fourage.nl.
